I was thinking about what my favorite groups were, both present and past and thought I’d put together a list to share with you. So here it goes.
I’m always concerned about sophomore releases from groups who’ve had hugely successful debuts. One never knows what’s going to come out the second time around. Will they stick with what made the first successful? Will they try something new? One never knows. So where does Red’s second release come in? You’ll have to read on…
I didn’t want to wait until this weekend to post this, thought I would jump ahead and let everyone know. There are several interesting CDs due out, some soon, some later.
Band/Artist: Red
Album: “End of Silence”
Label: Essential Records
The presence of string arrangements in nearly all the tracks on Red’s debut album “End of Silence” gives dramatic effect, causing me to tag it with five stars. Not to mention the strong guitar playing and drumming, passionate vocals, and lyrics that give a message of redemption that’s not overpowering.
