T-Bone has seven others albums before “Bone-A-Fide”, his recent self-produced CD, going all the way back to his first one in 1991. He is also on the soundtrack to “The Fighting Temptations” movie, with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Beyonce Knowles. T-Bone played one of the convicts that is allowed to sing with the choir. In the end he is released and is a official member of the choir. (Go T-Bone! Yea!)

Everyone knows that most teenage girls and boys love rap music. Eminem, 50 Cent, and Missy Elliot; everyone is listening to them these days. I live for rap music. Prodigal, a.k.a. Travis Clark, is the rap style I am looking for, plus a bonus with Christian lyrics. It has a positive message that encouraged my faith. If you’re a shy person, it might encourage you enough to witness to people you are not familiar with. That is sort of how I felt.

I took the family to see the sold out Diverse City Tour show. There was something for everyone here. I’ve wanted to see Kutless in concert. And Hawk Nelson was a bonus for me. The rest of the family likes Toby Mac. I’ve never been a huge fan of Audio Adrenaline; they have some stuff I like. Overall, no one came away overly disappointed except me.

I gave this CD 4 stars because of several tracks of his parents talking. The first, which leads off the CD, is his dad telling about how KJ got his name and the second is his mother talking about wanting to call him Sky. They both last for several minutes. It’s sweet but I buy CDs to listen to music, the talking just got in the way. Other than that the CD was AWESOME! “Behind the Musik” has many different beats and styles. Some are fast some are slow, and KJ works it. It’s just great, the lyrics, everything. “Behind the Musik” sounds a little bit like Eminem at times.

Toby Mac’s Diverse City is his second CD as a solo artist. His first CD, the Grammy-nominated Momentum, came out in 2001 with the song Extreme Days. Toby was part of the acclaimed trio DC Talk. DC Talk has won numerous awards, and has several platinum and gold albums. His solo work has taken him more to his roots as a hip-hop artist and closer to where DC Talk originated.
