Mat Kearney, City of Black and White

I’m finally getting around to writing about one of my favorite artists, and his thrid album, “City of Black and White.” It’s been three years since Mat released his last album, “Nothing Left to Lose” and I was looking forward to what Mat would bring to the table.

Mat Kearney, In concert

Band/Artist: Mat Kearney

Album: “In concert”

Label: Inpop Records

So I’m down in the South Florida coast on vacation, visiting my sister. She mentions this free, “family friendly” event in downtown Palm Springs called “Clematis at Night.” I do a little investigating on the web and find out that Mat Kearney is giving a free concert the very night she’s suggests we go. Sweet! I’m all about free, especially since I’ve been dropping my hard earned cash all over Florida for the past few days.

Mat Kearney, Bullet

Band/Artist: Mat Kearney

Album: “Bullet”

Label: Inpop Records

I know I’m a little late in getting this review done, but I wanted to do this one. This CD is probably one of my favorites for this year. The music is fresh and modern. It mixes hip hop, pop and modern rock to come up with something much different from the norm in Christian music.
