I’ve been a fan of Starflyer 59 for a very long time. I would have to say they are probably in my top 10 all time favourite bands. Jason Martin has been putting out SF59 albums around 14 years now. That’s quite a long time for a band that has never received the recognition that he deserves. So here’s my chance to get the word out. If you’ve missed these guys, here’s your chance.
Decyfer Down was a band that I had heard of, but hadn’t really listened to their music. Seeing that they had an EP out for their upcoming release “Crash,” I decided to give it a go and I’m blown away.
Hawk Nelson is back with their latest CD titled “Hawk Nelson Is My Friend.” It follows on the heals of the rest of their successful releases “Smile, It’s The End Of The World,” “Letter To The President” and others. It follows in the same vein as before, upbeat, energetic pop-punk. And that’s a good thing. I like Hawk Nelson. A lot. And I’m certainly not disappointed in this release either.
Jars Of Clay released a 5 song EP last fall title “Closer EP”. It features 2 brand new songs from their upcoming full-length CD, 2 remixes of old favorites and another song that they wrote for the documentary “Sons of Lwala
