Band/Artist: Kutless
Album: “Strong Tower”
Label: BEC Recordings
Welcome to the prerequisite worship album that every popular Christian band seems to do. Frankly, I’m disappointed. I expected more from Kutless.

The album features songs that we’ve heard on dozens of different worship albums. Now don’t get me wrong, I love some of these songs dearly. We sing them at my church. Just how many times are they going to be done? And really, for the most part, I just wasn’t hearing the passion here. And Kutless is one of my favorite bands.
They do pull out a couple of good interpretations on the CD. I like “I Lift My Eyes” and “Finding Who We Are”. “Jesus Lord of Heaven” is pretty good as well. There are also two original songs on the CD, one of which is Sea of Faces from their last CD.
I suppose I should say that I’m not against Worship or Worship music, I certainly could use more of it in my daily life. I just wonder how many CDs with “All who are Thirsty” on it do we really need? Maybe if they had tried to break some ground here, maybe used their own material instead of retreading old material. Kutless has the talent and that is why I’m disappointed.
