Band/Artist: Disciple
Label: Slain Records
This is the second time I’ve seen Disciple in concert. The venue was Ground Zero, a local youth ministry in Wichita, Kansas. It’s small, which means there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. But the acoustics are a little rough in the place. And you’ll have to forgive me, I get so caught up in the music that I forget to write down the song titles.

The show began with Oscilate, a local Wichita band who got the crowd a little warmed up with their roughly 20 minute set. They were pretty good and the crowd seemed to like them. But clearly, the crowd was waiting for Disciple.
rocked through their nearly 45 minute set. I’ve only heard a song or two from them, so I wasn’t real familiar with the band. They were good. But like Oscilate, they didn’t blow my face off. The audience was listening and responsive, but again, they were waiting to see Disciple.
And Disciple didn’t disappoint. The wait was worth it. No one has the energy of Disciple. Ground Zero erupted with the first band of a drum. The crowd’s pent up energy and excitement let loose like a flash flood and kept pace with the band throughout the entire show. If you’ve ever been to a Disciple concert, you’ll know what I mean.
Enough just can’t be said about the energy of the band. They deliver, plain and simple. The music is intense, aggressive and relentless. The only time it lets up is during the short message from Kevin Noah (lead singer). And this is Disciple’s heart and the focus of their music. They are very evangelistic. Both times I’ve seen them, Kevin gives a brief message with a call to salvation. I’d always heard this about them.
The concert was a good mix of current and some of their new stuff from an album that is due out in early 2005. Most were from the current CD “Back Again”. Encores were one new song that is yet to be named and “I Just Know”, one of my all-time favorite Disciple songs.
The verdict: if you’ve never seen Disciple in concert, you must go. They love the kids and the kids love them back. If you’re a hard music fan, these guys are tops. I had to give this show a 5, even though the warm up bands weren’t quite there with the audience. It was a great show, well worth the ticket price. Again, go see these guys, it’s an experience.free unstable fables tortoise vs hare movie download download secret window dvd
