Hunters get ready for the third installment from Demon Hunter, or as they call it the Third War. But can they really score another hit that is as good as their self titled album “Demon Hunter” or “Summer of Darkness”? The answer is, Oh My!

Demon Hunter brings back the same melodically driven, hardcore music and vocals but with a new twist. Especially in the song “Snap your fingers, snap your neck.” They bring into their repertoire a style very much like “Power man 5000″ and “East West”. The song starts out with a very awesome sounding bass guitar that eventually turns into a fast driven mosh pit driven sound.

The vocals are just as awesome as they have been in the first two albums and really makes “Demon Hunter” stand out from the rest of the crowd. “Demon Hunter” combines a hardcore scream that doesn’t over power the lyrics or sounds and a melodic vocal that makes the music haunting and beautiful at the same time.

Something else that really stands out about “Triptych” versus their other albums is that the lyrics are more Christ driven. It is clearly evident in songs like “Undying” that Christ is the center for their music. Although the lyrics aren’t as in your face as Disciple’s, you can clearly know what they are talking about when they sing, “No one can take away the blood that covers my fall.”

All in all this album I believe is their best one yet and I already can not wait for the fourth. This CD is a must have for any hardcore fan and the Hunters out there probably already have the album. “Demon Hunter”, “The Triptych” gets a 5 out of 5.
