Reading on my favorite blog, churchcrunch.com , the other day and John has written two posts that have really got me thinking about this blog and my whole spritual life in general. I’ve been rolling this around in my head for a couple of days now and need to get my thoughts in order.
The first post is 3 Tips for Not Sucking at ‘Christian’ Blogging
I can’t really say why that impacted me as it did. It obviously touched John as well or he wouldn’t have posted it. And again, not the big discussion I thought it would have generated, or what I thought it should have.
I’m blessed to attend a church that does have this as it’s philosophy, Gracepoint Community
, so I see it in practice frequently. So why was I blown away by his statement?
It’s been a strange year for me, these last 12 months. Lots of changes in my life and family. Consequently, it has also caused me to do a lot of soul searching, trying to find what God has called me to and truly pursue it. Maybe that’s why. I’m going to have to assume that there’s a message in there for me.
So why am I writing about these posts? What do they mean for this web site? At this point, I don’t truly know the answer to either of those questions. I plan to keep at it and see where God takes it, for now. As I was writing this post, I keep thinking of Matthew 11:12

I think we all have to find our own course on the internet. My personal philosophy for my blog is that it needs to be interesting, useful and pleasing to God. I try to keep myself informed of all the best ways to market my blog but at the same time, I am asking God for His wisdom in everyting I do. Thanks for a great post.
That is probably the best we can do, since if it isn’t from God, we “build in vain” as the Good Book says. Thanks for the visit Lorene!
