Me In Motion
Well it’s 2010 and here’s my first review of the new year. I received Me In Motion’s debut album this last week and have been giving it a spin. And honestly, I’m liking what I’m hearing.

I was really looking forward to after listening to the 3 song EP last winter. Well, it finally came out after several delays and a lead singer change. Would it live up to expectations? Could they keep going without Caleb? Read on…
I’ve been a fan of Starflyer 59 for a very long time. I would have to say they are probably in my top 10 all time favourite bands. Jason Martin has been putting out SF59 albums around 14 years now. That’s quite a long time for a band that has never received the recognition that he deserves. So here’s my chance to get the word out. If you’ve missed these guys, here’s your chance.
Decyfer Down was a band that I had heard of, but hadn’t really listened to their music. Seeing that they had an EP out for their upcoming release “Crash,” I decided to give it a go and I’m blown away.
If you are into, as they said in Oh Brother Where Art Thou, “that good old-timey music,” then have I got an artist for you. Jeanne T. Arrigo, with a voice as smooth as butter and accompanied by several friends who just happen to be great musicians, has released a nice collection of her favorite hymns. Some are fairly well known, others not so much, but the 2-disk set is guaranteed to get your toes tapping.
I’m finally getting around to writing about one of my favorite artists, and his thrid album, “City of Black and White.” It’s been three years since Mat released his last album, “Nothing Left to Lose” and I was looking forward to what Mat would bring to the table.
I’m always concerned about sophomore releases from groups who’ve had hugely successful debuts. One never knows what’s going to come out the second time around. Will they stick with what made the first successful? Will they try something new? One never knows. So where does Red’s second release come in? You’ll have to read on…
