I’m finally getting around to writing about one of my favorite artists, Mat Kearney
and his thrid album, “City of Black and White.” It’s been three years since Mat released his last album, “Nothing Left to Lose” and I was looking forward to what Mat would bring to the table.
The Simple Side is Canadian artist, Barb Elyett’s debut release on her own label, Aleta Records. Barb was a 2008 Maja Award International
Nominee in several categories including Best Song of the Year for “Come to Me” and Best Female Artist. Barb was also the lead vocalist for the Ninth Hour Band for two years as well as serving as musical director at her church. She’s also shared the stage with Celine Dion and Michael Bublé.

Listening to the radio the other day and this song comes on that just nails me. I’m trying to figure out what the song is and who’s singing because I’m blown away by the lyrics. It’s one of those times where God totally invades and speaks too me. I had to find out who the band was, I had to have that song Driven on dvd .
I was really looking forward to Decypher Down’s full length album after listening to the 3 song EP last winter. Well, it finally came out after several delays and a lead singer change. Would it live up to expectations? Could they keep going without Caleb? Read on…
Decyfer Down was a band that I had heard of, but hadn’t really listened to their music. Seeing that they had an EP out for their upcoming release “Crash,” I decided to give it a go and I’m blown away.
